The beta

Ebbward is a free beta for family and friends, run by Endpaper Labs LLC (“we”). By using it you agree to these terms. Features may change, break or be removed, and we may end the beta at any time. Nothing is for sale in the beta.

Ebbward is not a safety service

Ebbward shows modeled offshore waves, regional wind, predicted tides and observed readings, each with its source and age. That data can be wrong, late or missing, and it does not describe the shorebreak, rip currents, water quality or closures at a particular beach. Never use Ebbward to decide whether it is safe to go in the water. Check posted warnings, OC Beach Info and the National Weather Service, and ask a lifeguard. Condition alerts only say that the modeled numbers fit the limits you chose; they are not advice.

Visibility reports are opinions

Reports come from people using Ebbward. Each one is that person's opinion of what they saw at one time and place. We do not check them before they appear, and they can be mistaken or out of date. Reports disappear at the end of the Laguna day they describe.

Acceptable use

• Post only what you actually observed, as accurately as you can.
• No harassment, hate, threats, sexual content, spam or advertising, and no personal information about other people.
• Flag reports only when they are inaccurate, offensive or spam; do not use flags to bury honest reports.
• Do not attempt to break, overload, scrape or get around the limits of the service, or use someone else's account.

We may hide or delete any report and may stop an account from posting or flagging, without notice, to keep the beta useful. Two flags from different people hide a report until we review it.

Your account and content

Keep your password to yourself and use an email address you can receive. You keep ownership of what you post, and you let us show it to other people in Ebbward and store it for as long as described in the Privacy Policy. You can delete your reports, or your whole account, at any time (how to delete your account).

No warranty

The beta is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Endpaper Labs LLC is not liable for any loss or injury arising from using Ebbward, its data, its alerts or other people's reports.
